The Cortado/ Espresso Machiatto/Highlander Grogg with almond milk are some of my favorite drinks to order from Lech's place. The Roasterie is small yet authentic and intimate. You can also take in the coffee beans aroma while they roast which is lovely.
Lovely little spot that I think is worth the try. The staff seem used to dealing with long hours, coffee snobs, grumpy morning commuters, and people who are ordering one thing and expecting another, which I think is what garners any negative reviews (I was confused that I even got options for a black drip coffee because I didn't realise they provide so many sources of bean and roast levels!) so just be polite and read the menu carefully, you'll be sure to find something great. Art on the cup was also super cute, wish i'd kept my photo of it!!

I started my first day in Calgary with a warm and welcoming morning coffee at this lovely spot! The atmosphere was cozy, the staff were friendly, and the coffee was top-notch. It was the perfect way to begin my adventure in this beautiful city.
Step in here and be enveloped in a cocoon of the aroma of coffee beans roasting. It’s small and just a few tables inside. Lively and a lot of clearly regular customers. Doggos are welcome. The coffee itself, unsurprisingly, has a perfect roast. Just a smidge bitter which is how I like it. But not dark roast where it burns your throat. Latte was wonderfully HOT! They don’t get the temperature right in many cafes, I feel. Cute and quaint neighborhood shop. Not the place to sit with your laptop but to have conversations with friends. You can get freshly roasted beans here too.
When I think of coffee in Calgary, this place comes to mind as the place to go. It’s not some generic place and that’s what makes it unique and special. The flavour is outstanding. They roast their own beans. I particularly like the touch of unique coffee mugs served. I first started going to this place back in 2009 and it carries many fond memories, even though I do not live near the area any longer, I still like to visit time to time.
I visited this place last winter but skipped it due to long line, today I passed by in late afternoon and felt lucky to have my americano right away. It tasted rich and bitter, just right to my heart. I would say it’s my favorite americano so far in Calgary. The price is very reasonable and I love their cute and authentic vibe as well. Gonna go again soon.
The espresso is very good and the service is good.
